What it does
A secret stored in a locked-down file on the right platform without ever appearing in the chat, with the count and the permissions as the only proof, and the consumer pointed at the file.
Who uses it
What you need
You bring:
- which shell you are in
- the service the secret belongs to
- the secret, typed into your own terminal
How it works5
The steps, in order. The method itself is served whole through the connector, current on every use.
- 1
Interrupt before the paste
- 2
Store it with a hidden-input one-liner
- 3
Remove any duplicate key without printing it
- 4
Verify by count and permissions only
- 5
Point the consumer at the file
What it doesn't do
- Confirming a value by printing it back
- One-time codes that expire on use
When your AI reaches for it
Take in an API key, token, or password WITHOUT it ever entering the chat transcript. Use the moment the user says "I have the token", "here's the API key", "how do I give you the key/password", or is visibly about to paste a secret — interrupt BEFORE they paste. Also use to store a secret they already pasted (rotate-flag + store).
